Okay y’all…no quote today. Question time.
Do you prefer stories in series (and I mean series in covering a group/town not one couple) or single titles?

I don’t mind series book if the characters warrant it. I like series that develop the characters well enough that if you choose to read just one book, you would be fine.
from a business prospective…it’s smart as the readers become addicts and can’t wait for the next book to come out (Hint: Affrica’s story)
the downside – because you see so many people doing series, I try to shy away when possible when I don’ t know the author’s work. I’ve been purchased books with limited character and/or story development that pushes you to the next book. There are two very popular Romance Novel series that I regretted reading past book 2.
that’s my 2 cents for what its worth.
Thanks for answering Monica.
Affrica…her story will be out next year, stay tuned for more deets on that. 🙂
Sorry you have regretted reading some series, I never like it when that happens either.
Thanks again for giving your .02.
Happy reading,
