Saturday Selection ~ Trouble in Mudbug by Jana DeLeon

Saturday, June 3rd, 2017

The title alone grabbed my attention. Love it! This is the first book in Ghost-in-Law Mystery Romance series. #excited to learn about            @JanaDeLeon and her writing.

Scientist Maryse Robicheaux thought that a lot of her problems had gone away with her mother-in-law’s death. The woman was rude, pushy, manipulative and used her considerable wealth to run herd over the entire town of Mudbug, Louisiana.

Unfortunately, death doesn’t slow down Helena one bit.

DEA Agent Luc LeJeune is wondering what his undercover assignment investigating the sexy scientist has gotten him into – especially as it seems someone wants her dead. Keeping his secrets while protecting Maryse proves to be easier than fighting his attraction for the brainy beauty.

(Note: This book is part of the author’s backlist, originally released in print in 2009 by Dorchester Publishing)

51etD1RH1YL__SY346_Finishing up the month with another new to me author. And yes, another mystery. Dog Gone Lies is the first book in Pacheco & Chino Mysteries.

Sheriff Ray Pacheco returns from his introduction in The Bootlegger’s Legacy to start a new chapter as a private investigator, along with his partners: Tyee Chino, often-drunk Apache fishing guide, and Big Jack, bait shop owner and philosopher.

The trio are pulled into a mystery immediately when an abandoned show dog appears at Ray’s cabin and the dog’s owner is reported missing. Ray and his team pursue leads that bring them into confrontations with the local sheriff, the mayor, and the FBI, while in the meantime two bodies are found—neither of which is the missing woman.

Saturday Selections ~ Shadow Fall by Laura Griffin

Wednesday, May 17th, 2017

518dU1E6vtL__SY346_@Laura_Griff is one of my favorite authors. The Tracer series one of my go to read series when I just need something to enjoy and not worry about. Shadow Fall is the 9th book in the series and I’ve been falling behind on them, so I’m so thrilled to have this one up next to read.

Special Agent Tara Rushing arrives at a grisly murder scene and quickly discovers she’s got a serial killer on her hands. The killer is meticulous, making sure to wipe up even the smallest traces of evidence…but the Delphi Center experts are on the case.

The local sheriff has a suspect all picked out—ex-Marine and current security expert Liam Wolfe. Despite all her digging, Tara knows very little about Liam when she shows up at his sprawling Texas compound, which serves as headquarters for Wolfe Security, and she’s surprised by her intense physical reaction to him.

As she and Liam grow closer, Tara finds herself depending on his skills and expertise to help her track a killer. But when another body turns up, Tara must decide if she can trust the man who’s quickly stealing her heart.

I know right? Makes you want to go pick it up and read it. The entire series is amazing. Check it out!

Saturday Selection ~ Seaside Dreams by Melissa Foster

Only this year, Bella has more on her mind than sunbathing and skinny-dipping with her girlfriends. She’s quit her job, put her house on the market, and sworn off relationships while she builds a new life in her favorite place on earth. That is, until good-time Bella’s prank takes a bad turn and a sinfully sexy police officer appears on the scene.

Single father and police officer Caden Grant left Boston with his fourteen-year-old son, Evan, after his partner was killed in the line of duty. He hopes to find a safer life in the small resort town of Wellfleet, and when he meets Bella during a night patrol shift, he realizes he’s found the one thing he’d never allowed himself to hope for–or even realized he was missing.

After fourteen years of focusing solely on his son, Caden cannot resist the intense attraction he feels toward beautiful Bella, and Bella’s powerless to fight the heat of their budding romance. But starting over proves more difficult than either of them imagined, and when Evan gets mixed up with the wrong kids, Caden’s loyalty is put to the test. Saturday Selection ~ Whiskey Rebellion by Liliana Hart

Saturday, April 15th, 2017

518kGLnHQfL__SY346_I’ve had this book for a bit now and each time I see another drop in this series I remind myself I have to start from the beginning. Well, enough putting it off. I’m curling up with Addison Holmes and jumping into her world. This is the first book in the series.

My name is Addison Holmes, and I teach history at James Madison High School in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. You might be under the assumption that my life went to the dogs when my fiancé left me at the altar for the home economics teacher, or when I got notice that my apartment building was going to be condemned, or even when I was desperate enough to strip to my unmentionables to earn some extra cash. The truth is that I’m pretty much used to disasters following me around on a daily basis, but I could have gone without finding my principal dead in the parking lot of a seedy gentlemen’s club.

After the initial shock of finding my first dead body, which included throwing back shots of Jack Daniels like it was water, I decided to take stock of my life. I was in a desperate situation and if the school board ever found out I’d been a stripper, even a bad stripper, I’d be jobless as well as fiancé-less and homeless. Fortunately, I had a friend who felt sorry enough for me to give me a job doing some surveillance work at her detective agency. Not to mention the fact that I was now able to stick my nose into other people’s business for a good cause, find a murderer, and pick up helpful tips from an incredibly attractive detective.

Come check out my story and be thankful your life is relatively normal.

I’ve been a huge fan of @Liliana_Hart for a while now, her writing always puts a smile on my face. So I’m thrilled to start up a new series (to me) from her.

Saturday Selection ~ Accidentally Flirting with the CEO by Shadonna Richards

Saturday, April 1st, 2017

51+GoZhYpVL__SY346_Starting off this month with a new series for me. Accidentally Flirting with the CEO is the first book in the Whirlwind Romance series.

I’m looking forward to reading this one, check out the blurb.

What happens when a seductive e-mail goes to the wrong recipient—your boss?

If Jess Tandon were any hotter, he’d be a fire hazard! The sexy, arrogant president of TLC Advertising is more than just delicious eye-candy. He’s caught the eyes and heart of his normally-play it safe executive assistant, Alexa Worthington.

Too bad the only sex Alexa is having is safe text. She’s only just gotten over tragic heartbreak in her life, but she wants to move on now. She takes a romance writing class for therapy and creates a sizzling fantasy love scene starring her boss, Jess, and herself. When she e-mails it to a friend to critique, it ends up going to the wrong recipient—to Jess himself. Is this a disaster waiting to happen—or the beginning of something too hot to handle?

Right??? Sounds terrific.

I can’t wait to jump into this book and check out a new to me author, @shadonna  thanks for snagging my attention with this series. So excited to read this one.
