“Kiss me.” His soft command pulsed through the air. She reached up and put her hand behind his head and tugged. He bent, but as soon as she paused he stopped moving.
She pulled his head down so she could reach his mouth. When his lips were a breath away from hers she pressed her lips against his. Briefly. It lasted only seconds. It was nothing more than a chaste kiss, but she did it on her own. It was a small victory.
